Gary Wood is Managing director of Windward Search Partners based in Cleveland Ohio. He has more than 15 years of executive search and recruiting experience and takes a very hands on approach to managing all of his search assignments. Gary specializes in senior level assignments at the Manager, Director, Vice President and C Level in the manufacturing and distribution industries. His functional focus is in Operations/general Management, sales and Marketing, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Quality/ Lean six sigma/ continuous improvement. Gary has worked with a broad range of clients including Danaher Corporation, IDEX, Emerson, and Saint Gobain as well as smaller privately held or venture backed companies and some early stage development work.
As a senior level executive, Gary has a strong understanding of the manufacturing sector and the leadership qualities that are critical for the success in today's global economy. His educational background and hands on engineering experience in a variety of industries, enables him to understand a clients requirements and quickly identify and evaluate the high potential talent for today's winning companies.
Prior to joining Windward Search Partners, Gary’s experience includes his role as Managing director for RJ Evans & Associates, a boutique Retained Executive Search Group, and as the Director of Recruiting and Business Development for Spherion Corporation. Gary’s experience also includes 15 years in manufacturing as a General Manager, Operations Manager, and Director of Sales and Marketing for several national corporations.
Gary holds a bachelors Degree in Business from Northern Michigan University and an MBA from The Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.
