Responsible for supporting Cleveland manufacturing operations and Industrial
Distribution Center operations by reporting plant financial performance and
inventory control information and participating in manufacturing projects and
problem-solving activities. Additionally accountable to Corporate Finance in the
closing and reconciling period end activities. Supports Corporate Operations
Management in root cause analysis, cost modeling, and payback justifications.
Essential duties and responsibilities which must be performed in order to carry
out the position purpose summarized above:
• Prepares analysis of expenses vs. budget
• Facilitates labor reporting - audits Kronos process for accuracy
• Creates and maintains capital expenditure documentation
• Analyze existing products to identify areas for cost or quality
improvement. Apply Lean principles and processes.
• Prepares weekly performance status reports (inventory, spending,
progress evaluation, corrective actions, opportunity log, etc.)
• Prepares annual manufacturing budget in coordination with Plant
Manager and Corporate Accounting
• Manages the cycle count program for CL manufacturing and CA
Industrial warehouse and prepares for & coordinates the annual physical
inventory on the shop floors
• Manages BOSS computerized inventory and balances with PRMS
system, including processing of adjusting entries as needed
• Provides training and follow-up for shop floor inventory control
• Analyzes CL and CA cost of non-conformance, performs root cause analysis, and recommends and leads corrective actions as needed
• Reports cost of non-conformance for all locations, identifies and
investigates outliers prior to communicating results
• Leads resolution and root cause analysis of inventory control
opportunities
• Active role in month-end closing process, produces account
reconciliations and adjusting journal entries as needed
• Active role in year-end closing and audit process, produces PBC
documents for the auditors as requested, performs key year-end inventory
adjustments including LIFO, Revaluation, Full Absorption, and Obsolescence.
• Special projects as assigned, including leading costing and bill of
materials design for ERP implementation.
• Serve as a member of the Cleveland Operations Leadership Team,
participating in the development of plant policies, practices, and procedures
and providing assistance as required.
• Partners with Cleveland Plant Manager to drive positive change and
profitability improvement.
Qualifications:
Specific knowledge, training or skills required to perform the duties of this

certifications:
• BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Demonstrated understanding of the application of accounting principles
and practices.
• Demonstrated understanding of accounting/finance information
software applications.
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• PC Computer Proficiency: Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and generate results
in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.

• Previous experience that is necessary background to qualify for this
position
• Seasoned level of broad, general accounting experience in comparably
sized manufacturing/distribution organizations.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience in ISO, Lean manufacturing and/or related continuous
improvement practices.
